How do I reset my TouchPoints?

Some of the most common issues can be fixed with a simple reset! It's a useful step if your TouchPoints seem to be stuck, have trouble vibrating, or are not working normally.

How to reset your TouchPoints
1. Plug your devices into a laptop or desktop computer using the included micro-USB cable. Laptop/Desktop must be powered on and logged in.
2. Plug your TouchPoints in and out of the dual-pronged charging cable 3-4 times.
3. While plugged in, hold the TouchPoint buttons down for a solid 5 seconds. Count 1 Mississippi 2 Mississippi 3 Mississippi...
4. Unplug the TouchPoints and leave off the charging cable for at least 15 minutes and then plug the devices back up for an overnight charge.

How do TouchPoints help reduce my stress?

When you're stressed, the 'fight or flight' part of your brain engages. TouchPoints shift you into the logical, rational part of your brain and allow you to think clearly and experience calm all within seconds. Having the ability to think rationally without an associated body sensation helps the brain create new neural pathways that are net positive, and this has a lasting effect on your brain.  See How TouchPoints Work for more information.

Do TouchPoints work on every condition related to stress and anxiety?

TouchPoints do not treat or cure any medical conditions but can help manage the underlying stress that accompanies many conditions in conjunction with a healthy lifestyle.

How do I use TouchPoints?

How do I wear TouchPoints?

Place one TouchPoint on each side of your body and secure them with wristbands, sweatbands, clothing clips, hold in hands, or keep in pockets or socks.  For TouchPoints to work, one must be on the right side of the body and one must be on the left. TouchPoints do not need to be touching the skin as long as you can feel the vibrations.

TouchPoints can be used for a short duration to spot treat stress, or they may be left on for longer periods of time to prevent it.

What's the difference between TouchPoints Essentials, TouchPoints with Wristbands and TouchPoints for Sleep?

TouchPoints Essentials, TouchPoints with Wristbands, and TouchPoints for Sleep all use the same BLAST technology to alter the body's stress response. All three bundles provide the experience of calm, increased focus, enhanced performance, improved sleep, minimized anger, and reduced cravings. All three bundles feature the same three settings (blue - sleep/meditation, yellow - calm/focus, and purple - anger/agitation), rechargeable batteries with a 3-4 hour battery life, and are splash resistant as well.

The main difference between the different products are the accessories included.

TouchPoints Essentials come with clothing clips so you have a host of choices in where you wear your TouchPoints. Clip them on socks, straps, belt or waistband or pockets.

TouchPoints with Wristbands features sleek silicone or stainless steel wristbands for ease of access, and so that users may wear TouchPoints around the wrist.

TouchPoints for Sleep features a built-in timer to allow for sleep. The Sleep bundle also includes zippered sweatbands to provide additional comfort, reduce the sound of the TouchPoints' vibrations, and so that users may wear TouchPoints around arms or ankles.

Why do you have to wear two TouchPoints?

Are TouchPoints waterproof?

TouchPoints are not waterproof, however, they are sweat-resistant.

How long do TouchPoints take to charge and how long is the battery life?

TouchPoints take 2-3 hours to charge fully. The battery life for TouchPoints is 3-4 hours depending on the settings used.

What if TouchPoints don't work on me?

There are no known conditions that would render TouchPoints ineffective. TouchPoints should work on everyone because of how the brain integrates sensory input.

If it feels like your TouchPoints aren’t producing calm it could be because they are not on the right setting for you. Cycle through a couple different settings to find the one that works best for you.

If you are panicking or thinking about an extremely stressful event, it may take longer than 30 seconds to feel the difference. In this case, leave your TouchPoints on and then reassess every minute. In a few minutes, there should be a noticeable difference.

If you have a severe medical or mental health condition or are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, this may interfere with the results. If you have a dissociative disorder, autism, or agenesis of the corpus callosum, you may not be able to notice the positive changes even if they are occurring.

Do TouchPoints emit EMFs?

Yes. TouchPoints emit EMFs through infrared technology. Infrared is used first for 30 seconds to power the devices on and pair them, and then again for 30 seconds each time the settings are changed.

Can TouchPoints be used for Parkinson’s Disorder (PD)?

We do have many customers reporting that using TouchPoints on the calm, anger, or performance settings may reduce the incidence of tremors associated with Parkinson's. Also, many customers report that using TouchPoints helps reduce the anger/agitation, and anxiety associated with these conditions and the "rebound" effect of medication.

There are two types of tremors, resting tremors and action tremors. TouchPoints seems to make action tremors better. Since Essential tremors and cerebellar tremors and action type tremors, we believe that Touchpoints technology works on the same brain circuity which is why they would likely result in improved control and tremor severity.

Currently, there are universities interested in pursuing research given these findings, but we as a company have not yet researched this. TouchPoints are shown to reduce the overall stress response and since TouchPoints are a general wellness device, we are still learning of so many potential applications to improve people's lives!
